I have worked as a GP in Auckland for over 20 years, with 7 years as Clinical Lead in a high needs primary care service, and currently work part time as a GP in a very high needs practice in Central Auckland. My particular interests are focused on improving processes and systems within General Practice. I am passionate about working with practice teams to help improve safety and quality, as this benefits both patients and providers.

Urgent Care Doctor & Strategic Lead for Safety in Practice
I am a FRNZCUC and have worked in the Urgent Care sector for 16 years. I currently spread my time between working part-time as an urgent care physician, Strategic Clinical lead at SiP and my 3 boys! I also sit on the executive committee for RNZCUC and am a healthcare auditor against the Urgent Care standards. I have a background in education, healthcare leadership, clinical governance and quality improvement, and am passionate about improving care and reducing harm for our patients
I am a pharmacist with a special interest in medicines safety, particularly the appropriate use of high-risk medicines. I am especially passionate about patient empowerment, and how we can encourage everyone to be partners in their own healthcare.
I am interested in numbers and analytics and spend my time creating databases and building dashboards. With an MBA in Marketing and experience in Product Management, i am always keen on Innovation and Change Management.
